Bell has coached with renowned organizations, including Excel Aquatics, Dekalb Aquatics, Swim Atlanta, Dynamo, US Aquatics Club, Avondale Tidal Waves, and Hampton Hall. She has guided athletes to Senior National and Olympic Trials levels and worked with Masters swimmers, triathletes, and former club and college athletes. In 2014, she was named Coach of the Year by the Atlanta Swim Association, and in 2020, she helped coach the Chamblee High School girls’ team to a GHSA 5A Championship.
As the owner of Swim Beyond Swim School, a premier swim school in Atlanta and Gainesville, Georgia, Bell teaches swimmers of all ages and abilities and promotes competitive swimming. She also founded Swim Beyond the Boundaries Inc., a nonprofit that provides swim lessons to children from underserved families. A certified lifeguarding, CPR, and pool operations instructor, she is dedicated to reducing drowning rates in the community.
As a swimmer, Bell was a Senior National Qualifier and top-16 age group swimmer with Nashville Aquatics Club. She has also competed in a number of triathlons and open water events, including the 12.5-mile Swim Around Key West.
Now in her fourth season as head coach for Brenau University, Bell resides in Atlanta with her husband and their youngest child. Their older son is the former American record holder in the 100-yard breaststroke and now lives in New York. Their older daughter swam for Eastern Michigan and is now in medical school. Their younger daughter, Sophie, swims at Brenau University and serves as a Lead Instructor at Swim Beyond. Sophie was the lead computer person for MCST last summer and will be serving as assistant coach this summer. Their youngest son competes for Dynamo Swim Club. She is excited to create a new opportunity for children in the Atlanta area to develop their passion for summer swim team!
